Today I have been listening to a lot of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes, this band is incredible! L.A native Alex Ebert started the band as a colaboration with his girlfriend at the time, Jade Castrinos. Since then Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes have swelled into a revolving 12 person band that focuses on music drawing from folk, roots rock and gospel styles.
I first stumbled across these guys when I found a video of them travelling to Mexico City to play their music and the intimate shows they played there as well.
And when I say intimate, I mean they basically picked up their instruments and walked around until they found a spot to play their music. Brilliant isn't it?
Here are a few of my favorites by them:
These guys are one of my favorite bands, I love how simple and down to earth they are in terms of their music and their personalities. You can tell music is a real passion of theirs and that is so inspiring to me. Love them to bits!
